Fresh Mobs are a grassroots effort to beautify the Lorain Road Corridor. Based on the popular flash mob concept, a Fresh Mob entails volunteers congregating at a Lorain Road property and performing such tasks as litter collection, painting, weeding and planting of garden beds, or other specialized jobs as necessary. The idea for this program resulted from the recent Freshen Up Fairview Park event.

Any public or private space along the Lorain Road Corridor is eligible for this program. Properties may be identified in two ways:

  • Property owners may request assistance from Forward Fairview Park.
  • Forward Fairview Park may select vacant and dilapidated properties and reach out to property owners.

Participation in the Fresh Mob program carries certain responsibilities:

Forward Fairview Park’s Responsibilities

  • Schedule event in conjunction with property owner
  • Solicit and coordinate volunteers
  • Coordinate supply needs

Property Owner Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the event
  • Provide resources and tools as necessary

Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Complete a liability waiver form
  • Get hands dirty and sweat a little
  • Feel accomplished!
