Forward Fairview Park announces first Fresh Mob of 2017

Forward Fairview Park is pleased to announce its first Fresh Mob of 2017, occurring Saturday, June 24th at 9:00 am at the Fairview Park Cemetery (click for directions).

Fresh Mobs are a grassroots effort to beautify the Lorain Road Corridor by assembling Fairview Park’s residents and businesses, those who have made Fairview Park a great place to grow, to achieve results through collaboration. Based on the popular flash mob concept, a Fresh Mob entails volunteers storming a Lorain Road property and spending a few hours performing tasks like litter collection, painting, weeding and planting of garden beds, or other specialized jobs as necessary to spruce up the property.

No pre-registration is necessary. Volunteers are asked to meet at Fairview Park Cemetery at 9:00 am to receive their assignment(s) and sign a waiver. We understand the busy lives of our residents so we encourage volunteers to attend the Fresh Mob for as long or as little time as they can spare.

To ensure everyone can contribute, volunteers are asked to bring their own yard and gardening tools including gloves, shovels, rakes, and any other tools they feel would be useful. Volunteers are responsible for their belongings, so tag your tools and remember to take them home.
